Love to Love You

Love to Love You - The Dressed Aesthetic

There is something about a springtime vintage floral print that can bring a bit of sunshine into the dreariest of days. As if the minute you slip it over your head, the sun perks up and pushes her way through the clouds just to get a glimpse. And it doesn’t matter how many I own, the minute I spy another I am powerless to resist. I just love to love them.

This floral printed beauty was one of those that appeared on my Instagram feed as “coming soon” and I relentlessly hit refresh until she finally appeared in the Tuesday Rose Vintage shop. There was definitely a queue of lovely ladies ready and waiting for this piece – I have no idea how I got there first, but am overjoyed to have the opportunity to wear and love this Mode O’Day dress. Some things in life are just so easy to love…

Love is definitely in the air this week, as I am officially on the Play side of my “Work and Play” trip. We’re spending time in San Diego to see Mr. Dressed’s family before heading east to dance our butts off at a family wedding. Then, work begins as I jet off to a conference to go discuss important shark-related things (and honestly, dance my butt off again and nerd out for a week). It’s always amazing to take a break and spend time with the people you love the most. There’s always too much wine, too much laughing, and in the case of San Diego, way too many tacos (if such a thing even exists).

I’m also basking in the Northern Hemisphere weather and busting out my favorite sundresses and dreaming of sundresses yet to come. In every leg of this adventure, I’ve made plans to visit some of my favorite vintage sellers – Trove Vintage, Butch Wax Vintage, The Girl Can’t Help It, and Modern Millie – to name just a few. My suitcase is already starting to quake a bit in fear at what I’m planning to make her accomplish after this trip.

Stay tuned for all of the new vintage goodies that I haven’t met yet, but already love!

xoxo
